Meet Nicole, Founder & PrincipalNicole Growdon is a classically trained Pilates instructor based in Ventura, California.
Like so many others, Nicole's path to Pilates started in the search for relief from chronic pain. Years of being caught in a downward spiral of injuries, stress, de-conditioning, mobility loss, adaptive patterns and imbalances was impairing her ability to enjoy life. Pilates quickly became a source of strength, energy and mobility, a body-mind connection that was so empowering and a source of joy and freedom in her body she hadn't felt since adolescence. Nicole studied Pilates for about 10 years then, after losing her best friend to breast cancer, realized it was her time to overhaul her career and make it her work to help others overcome health challenges and improve well being. In 2016, she completed a year-long certification and apprenticeship program with Equinox Pilates Institute and opened her first studio in 2017. The founder and creative force of Temple Pilates Studio, a classically-rooted studio in mid-town Ventura, California, Nicole keeps a consistent self-practice and continues to passionately study, teach and mentor others in Pilates as well as many other methods and traditions including Yoga, body rolling and an array of fascia release techniques, mobility/joint conditioning and functional training. |
It is a sincere privilege and honor to teach. I greatly appreciate my students and view myself as a partner in their journey to good health, mastery of this beautiful work and the natural empowerment that comes from effectively learning how to develop and manage inherent strength, flexibility and alignment. |
