KYM VOTRUBA
Associate Instructor
Kym Votruba has always known that moving her body made her happy and could feel the direct connection between feeling good and healthy practices. A lifelong athlete, with a love for activities like snowboarding, hiking, playing soccer, running, traveling and adventuring - Kym still spends as much of her free time moving as she can.
As Kym entered her 40s, she found herself struggling with many of the activities she had always loved. Her injuries were increasing as stamina and ability were decreasing. Fueled by a desire to discover a more sustainable fitness routine that would fuel her active lifestyle and give her the strength and flexibility she needed to reach her end-goal of a healthy and active centenarian, Kym found Pilates and knew it was what she had been searching for. As her body transformed and she started to feel more empowered, Kym realized Pilates could offer her a new career path—one that felt like a refreshing tap rather than a draining siphon. With degrees in Psychology and Education and over 25 years of teaching experience, working with students from preschool to college, Kym is excited to combine two great passions - movement and teaching - and to bring her wisdom and expertise to the studio. Kym is the first graduate from Temple Pilates pilot apprenticeship program, having successfully completed the Foundational and Intermediate levels of comprehensive training. She is currently on track to complete her Advanced level in 2024. |
