Roger has been teaching Pilates for ~30 years. Over this time he's had the good fortune to learn from and work with many excellent instructors and leaders in the Pilates community.
He began his career in dance. Graduating Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Dance from the University of Texas in Austin, Roger danced professionally in New York with Solomons Dance Company and Milton Myers Dance Company and in Los Angeles with the Lewitzky Dance Company.
Roger began his Pilates career in 1995, completing comprehensive certification through the Pilates Studio NYC under the tutelage of Romana Kryzanowska. Soon after he met Physical Therapists Allyson Cabot and Gabrielle Shrier of Core Conditioning who were looking for someone to join their training team who could bring a classical Pilates perspective.
An ideal example of a balanced, classically rooted Pilates professional, Roger has a deep appreciation and love for classical Pilates combined with a broader therapeutics toolkit and firm understanding of how to interface with Doctors and Physical Therapists to complement recovery and physical therapy programs.
Today, Roger continues to grow and develop by working with other instructors and studio owners, teaching students and leading teacher training curriculum and through his own practice with his teachers and mentors, including spending many years studying directly with Jay Grimes.
Roger teaches master classes nationally and internationally. In addition to studio instruction, Roger is currently teaching comprehensive and continuing education courses as a faculty member for Balanced Body University at Core Conditioning.
